It s important to secure your roof in place before adding the thatch as it would be difficult and too heavy to lift into place afterward.
I purchased a 20 foot roll of thatch for 100 from a specialty bamboo store that was a 30 minute drive from my house.

This tiki bar uses rusted tin roofing from an old barn.
First lift the roof structure into place and secure it on all four corners of the bar.
Do not cut corners with the roof as it can make or break the appearance of the bar.
This step can be done at any point in the build however this is when i chose to do it.
Lift the assembled roof structure on to bar structure and use lag bolts to secure at all points of contact.
