Repairing bifold doors begin by inserting the bottom pivot into the bracket which can be screwed to the floor to the door jamb or both. Twist the nut surrounding the pin to raise or lower the door.

Tighten the setscrew firmly. One requires you to loosen a set screw and slide the bracket in or out. Slide the bracket in the track until the door is parallel to the jamb. Close the wood with a c clamp and leave the clamp on for 3 to 4 hours.

Cut a shim to fit under the bracket and reinstall the bracket. To adjust a bifold s height use an adjustable wrench a pair of pliers or the wrench that comes with the hardware. Once the door is approximately under the hole in the track release the pivot. If it is even a little off it could be caused by a loose top pivot and bracket which have allowed the door to slip sideways out of alignment.

To clean and lubricate the hardware of a sliding closet door use a stiff brush a toothbrush or a hand vacuum to clean dust from the tracks. Use an aerosol lubricant to lubricate all the door rollers.
