Hotpoint aquarius door handle broken.

My hotpoint aquarius door wont open answered by a verified uk appliance technician. You then need a new door lock. To open the door you can either push the striker from inside as you ve already got the top off power off first. Ordered and delivered the next day fit our washing machine door perfectly.

Remember to take photos of how your handle was fitted. You may find that your door handle is broken and you need a new one. Once you have the door open you will be able to tell if this is the case as when you move the handle the latch will not move. With the door open you will then be in a better position to see if the latch or the lock is faulty.

Give the door handle a good thump then try opening it from inside. Alternatively protect the paintwork and lever the door open this may also damage the door and latch. From your description it sounds like the handle has broken on the door. If so we have replacement parts for hundreds of appliances.

If you can t open it the next stage is to work the lock back and forth side to side to work it off of the screws. So glad we bought this and did it ourself as relatively easy to do.

Repair your hotpoint refrigerator handle for less. Or you can use a length of string and slip it inside the door when it catches. The picture below is not the exact model but the panel is more or less the same. Took about 30 mins.
